Thanks for checking out The SUMMIT a ministry of Huntington Beach Community Church of the Nazarene.



The SUMMIT is the English speaking part of HBCC. The congregation is small, intimate and real, dedicated to empowering people to live their lives to the full (John 10:10). We believe that discipleship is the path that allows God to enable you to live your life to the fullest, becoming everything He created you to be.



If you are looking for a Bible believing holiness faith community I encourage you to visit in person.



 

If you prefer a faith community where you know the name of the folks you worship with and the pastor knows your name, I encourage you to visit in person.



Our Sunday meeting officially starts at 10 AM and end at 11:30. Your little ones are welcome to stay with you or enjoy our toddler nursery or children’s church. Attire is casual, the atmosphere friendly, music is contemporary, and there is a cup of coffee waiting for you. I am looking forward to meeting your personally. ​Our Mission

 

The Scripture gives us clear direction as to the purpose of Community Church. "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)

"That we may present everyone perfect (i.e., mature, complete and whole) in Christ" and "to prepare God's people for works of service (ministry), so that the body of Christ may be built up." (Colossians 1:28 and Ephesians 4:12)

Community Church's affiliation with the Church of the Nazarene gives us direction. We exist as an instrument for advancing the kingdom of     God through the preaching and teaching of the gospel. Our well-defined commission is to propagate Christian holiness as set forth in the Scriptures, through the conversion of sinners, the reclamation of backsliders, and the entire sanctification of believers.

The words of Jesus help us to fine tune the purpose of Community Church. 

John 10:10 (NW) “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Luke 4:18-19 (NIV) "The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

John 3:16 (NW) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

We understand the words of Jesus to mean that if a person commits themselves to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus, they receive freedom to become everything they were created to be. During this journey a person will experience a life of Love, Belonging, Meaning and Significance.

At Community we summarize our purpose simply as: Empowering People To Live Life To The Full​​​
